It reads before it writes
Attaching a domain triggers a discovery that changes nothing. Three sources are compared and the result says, in one word, whether switching is safe yet.
Hand IaGenify the DNS of a domain you own and it reads what is live before it touches anything: what the current host serves, what the internet resolves, and what our zone holds. The nameservers stay hidden until the three agree — and it costs nothing, on every plan, however many you bring.
Pointing a registrar at new nameservers is instant and total: whatever the new zone does not hold stops existing. So the zone is filled, and checked, before the invitation to switch ever appears.

MX with their priorities, SPF, DMARC, the full DKIM key split across strings, and every ordinary record — created one by one and read back, not accepted in a batch that silently loses one.
Behind a proxy, what the world resolves is the proxy, not your server. Those names are reported as opaque and left for you, because copying them would point the domain at something that does not know it.
Until your registrar points at us the zone serves nothing, so attaching a name you do not own gains nobody anything. A name can be attached by one account only.
Not if the check says it is safe. Discovery runs before anything is written, and the page does not show you the new nameservers until our zone holds what the live one holds. Records whose true origin is hidden behind a proxy are reported rather than guessed — those are the ones only you can confirm.
Yes, and it is the normal case rather than the edge case. Enabling mail on an apex that already has MX records is refused with the records it found, and you choose: put mail on a subdomain instead, or replace the existing route deliberately.
A zone we created for you is removed. A zone that already existed in our account before you attached it is left exactly as it was — its records were not ours to destroy.
Nothing, on every plan including the free one, and there is no limit on how many you attach. Renewing with us the following year is free too — the price of the domain itself is the only thing you ever pay, and not to us.
Not yet. Search reads public DNS to tell you whether a name resolves — it costs nothing, reserves nothing and quotes no price. Registration will arrive with a real price attached rather than a placeholder.
The pair assigned to your zone, shown on the domain page. They are stored per domain rather than written into the product, so branding them later is a change of data and not a migration for you.
